About Me
the Artist
Drawing with Pastels has been a passion of mine for over 35years, my style is very different from other artists and is easily recognizable.
In the past I have been more into realism, painting Pet Portraits, Sporting Identities, Cars and a variety of other subjects. Recently I decided to stick to one particular subject, yep, The Emus and I have been loving it. These guys have created more interest then I could imagined. I have no idea what these guys are gonna end up doing next, but its bloody fun bringing them to life!
If you want a personlized emu painting I'm all ears, I just need some traits and description of what you want and I'm onto it.
Why Emus?
A late night pod cast that I searched up is the reasoning behind the change to concentrating on Emus.
Why wasn't my art selling like I wish it to?
Why were other artists having more success then me?
What could I improve?
The answers to all my questions were pointed out. I was all over the place, I was painting a dog as a commission one minute and the next minute a car, then a beach scene, a nude, and then maybe a horse. I had to narrow my subjects down to the one and I chose Emus?
Why Emus? Well I'm also a train driver and each time I drive a train past Duaringa in the early hours there are always a mob of emus on the plains of Aroona Station. These Emus always catch my attention, they have so much character and are so much fun to draw. I still do commissions for pets and others but I've been getting so many enquiries and requests for emus that my commissions are mostly of these characters now.
I mostly use Pastels but also enjoy changing it up with Acrylics and Resin. I paint every other day, if there is an opportunity to do some art I'm taking it. So there it is, Emus are go!
Delivery & Returns
Local buyers can expect door to door delivery or pick up on request. Provided the item is in stock I would try my hardest to have it to you on the day of purchase.
Mailing costs can vary dependent on the size of the order. If in stock I guarantee I'll do my best to have it on its way within three working days, I use Australia Post for items less then 105cm in height.
Australia Post are very affordable and timely. I have had no reported damaged art, and I have sent a lot of framed artwork containing glass.
Obviously I would replace any damaged prints. Originals are the hardest to replace and if the Artwork is beyond repair I'll give a full refund or replace by painting you another. Having said that I take great care in packing my Artworks and on occasions have had it professional packed by my framer.
Prints will be sent in a envelope with a strong backing to prevent folds and damage. Tea towels are printed in Sydney by an Australian owned company, these can be mailed direct from the company or if in stock I can mail them immediately.
